What is Wal-Staf?
Wal-Staf is a staffing service, locally owned and operated. We send employees out on job assignments at our client locations. Positions can be anywhere from a day to a week or longer. Many of our positions are "Temp to Hire" where the client company is looking for a permanent employee.
How long has Wal-Staf been in business?
Wal-Staf opened its Gainesville office in 1977. The Ocala office was opened in 1992 and the Lake City office was opened in 1998.
Is there a fee?
No! There is never any fee to applicants.
What kinds of jobs do you have available?
Our most common positions are in the clerical and light industrial fields, but we also staff technical, professional, sales, skilled trades, drivers, and customer services positions.
Clerical positions include Receptionists, Administrative Assistants, Office Managers, Bookkeepers, Medical Records, Paralegals, etc. Clerical positions require at least one year's office experience.
Industrial positions include Worker Clean Up, Lawn Maintenance, Assembly, Warehouse Worker, etc.
A few examples of other positions are Graphic Artist, Quality Control Inspector, Gator Game Parking Attendant, Solderer, Weight Loss Consultant. There aren't too many things we haven't done!

Do you have part time work?
Most of our assignments are full time, but we do occasionally have part time positions.
Where are your positions?
Most positions are in Gainesville, Ocala, and Lake City, Florida, and in the surrounding areas.
How do I apply?
We encourage you to call the office closest to you and speak to the scheduling manager. (Gainesville 378-8367, Ocala 622-8367, Lake City 755-1991) They will talk to you about what kind of position you are looking for, and can schedule you to come in for an interview if appropriate.
You may also fax or email your resume. Resumes will be kept on file for six months.
What shoud I bring with me?
Picture Identification such as Driver's License and a Social Security card or original Birth Certificate (or other documentation required to complete an I-9 form). Also, bring your resume if you have one.
When am I paid and by whom?
Employees are paid each Thursday for the previous week's work.
Does Wal-Staf offer Direct Deposit?Yes! Direct deposit is available for all employees. You will need to fill out a form and include a void check (or a deposit slip for a savings account).
Does Wal-Staf hold my first check?
No. If you work anytime from Monday to Sunday, you will be paid on the following Thursday.

If we haven't heard from you in awhile, we may have inactivated your file.
